Given the time limitations of this project, this list does not represent the scope of fauna present in the TER property. We suggest that future groups look to identify and quantify the large amount of fauna diversity present in the property.
- Acorn Woodpecker (Melanerpes formicivorus)
- American Robin (Turdus migratorius): This red breasted, native bird travels to avoid cold fronts.
- Bewick’s Wren (Thryomanes bewickii)
- California Towhee (Melozone crissalis)
- Chipping Sparrow (Spizella passerina)
- Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris): Invasive from Europe. Also known as European Starling
- Coyote (Canis latrans)
- Morro Shoulderband Snail (Helminthoglypta walkeriana): requires physical contact with water before emerging from its shell.
- Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura)
- Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus): feeds on ants, has a red shaft.
- Red Tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis)
- Velvet Ant: specific species unknown
- Western gray squirrel (Sciurus griseus)
- Wrentit (Chamaea fasciata): Native
